Everyone wants to win, but not everyone has what it takes to win. The only thing you need to be successful is a winning mindset. Success is difficult for some because they just aren’t capable of changing the way they think! The good news is that, it doesn’t have to be you! So here are 5 Simple Ways To Adapt A Winning Mindset.
Although simple, thinking positive is not always easy to do. Life is raging around us and happening to us every single day. Many people are dying, others are being killed, raped, kidnapped etc. Life is not always easy or good to us, things change and sometimes they take a turn for the worst but, you must try your best to not let these things affect you.
No matter what the circumstances are around you, you have to be able to cultivate positive thoughts. The more you focus on the negative aspects of life, the more negative: thoughts, feelings, information, and incidents will flow to you. This type of negative information will clog your mind and make it difficult to focus on the things you should actually be focused on.
When you feel yourself thinking negatively, train yourself to stop in mid thought, and focus on something else. The more you focus on the positive, the more positive thoughts, information, ideas and opportunities you’ll come across. Which leads to number 2
2.Have a Spirit of Gratitude
The 2nd simple way to adapt a winning Mindset is to be genuinely thankful or grateful. When you start to focus on the good, and the abundance of what you do have, and the things around you, (not just material things, but life and health it’s self) you begin to attract more of those things to you. That’s why it’s so important to count your blessings!
In order to adapt a winning mindset you need to be firm in your mind, in your goals, and in what you believe in. If you want to win, you have to know that you are going to win, and that there are no if’s, and’s, or but’s about it. If you leave room for an if, or a but, or a maybe, then you have already set yourself up to fail. Those if’s, and maybe’s leaves room for lack of motivation, lack of discipline, and plenty of room for error. So if you have a goal, or a dream, or an idea, then you need to get firm about it in your mind, be unwavering, and stick to it.
Being patience is hard for a lot of us. Everything in this day and age is immediately placed at our fingertips, and it better run smooth, and not buffer or delay, or we’ll catch an attitude! But if you want to adapt a winning mindset you are going to have to learn how to be patient. Good things take time, and lot’s of hard work. The bible speaks on the importance of patience
James 1:4 : But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
If you want something done, and you want it done right, you have to be patient.
Lastly for this list is to be flexible. If you want to adapt a winning mindset you are going to have to be open to change, and learning new things. Keep this in mind. Successful people are always learning, adapting, and applying new things. New methods, and strategies are always on the rise, and techniques change. As you grow and life changes you have to be able to evolve and adapt mentally as well. Your flexibility will contribute to the longevity of your success, so be malleable, we were meant to change.
First off; being a mother is the most challenging, emotional, painful, happiest, and rewarding job anyone could ever do! There is absolutely nothing in the World like the job of a mother, and for a single mother, it’s all of that times two.
Twice the pain, twice the challenge, twice the emotion, but it’s also twice the happiness, twice the love, and twice the reward too. At the end of the day Single mothers really are doing a job that was meant to be done by two.
Do I say this to take away from the significance of moms living in a two parent household? Absolutely Not, because I’ve been there too.
There are some women in two parent households who take the bulk of the responsibility of the parenting and the dad does absolute shit, doesn’t do anything, doesn’t help with anything, and honestly feels that he’s not supposed to.
These women I feel sorry for, because there’s absolutely nothing worse than being a mother and having to take care of your own children plus someone else’s grown one.
I know her. because I was her. In a way, the death of my relationship freed up some areas of responsibility, while dropping more pressure on others.
As a single mother the sole responsibility falls on you, and the burden becomes twice as heavy when the other parent decides to do the bare minimum, or in many cases nothing at all.
As a single mom you are left to become the sole provider, the breadwinner, the comforter, the coach, the teacher, the referee, the tutor, the planner, the nurse, the chef, the maid, the hairstylist, playmate etc…
You have to take on the role of both mom and dad, and at the end of the day you are supposed to be able to take care of yourself as well. Most women who are mother’s have a problem with this. There is simply so much to do, that it’s hard to find the time or energy to do anything for yourself, resulting in sadness, depression, and other ailments. These situations become especially true for single mother’s who receive little or no support.
I can honestly say that on this Mother’s Day: while I am thankful, grateful, and blessed, I am burnt out. I’m tired, a little lonely, a little mad and a little sad. This day honoring mothers, for me is just another like any other day. I’m alone with my twin daughters and I’m struggling to play the roles of both mom and dad, the playmate, the nurse, the chef, the maid…

Congrats Momma to be, you’re expecting, not only 1 but 2 precious bundles of joy! Pregnancy can be both exciting and nerve wrecking, especially when you’re carrying two. So here are some things to expect in the next 9 months.
Just how every baby is different and develops at their own rate, the same holds true for moms to be. Not every twin mom’s experience will be the same, they may not even be similar at all.
While your anxiety of having twice as much nausea and morning sickness because you are carrying two babies may indeed be possible, it’s not actually a fact that you will experience this.
I know this to be true because I barely experienced a single episode of morning sickness throughout my entire twin pregnancy. I was lucky to receive the long end of the stick when it came to morning sickness and nausea, but this might not be true for you. Fingers crossed that it is though.
Just like any singleton pregnancy these symptoms may or may not appear during your twin pregnancy.
Twin Pregnancy: First Trimester
Nausea; can begin in the very first month of pregnancy You may experience nausea just a few weeks after becoming pregnant
Increased urination (can start as early weeks as two weeks into a twin pregnancy)
You may experience some light headed or dizziness
Bloating and fatigue are common symptoms felt during the early stages of pregnancy
Strange Cravings is one the most common signs and symptoms of pregnancy as well as Morning Sickness/vomiting in the first trimester
In these early stages you may or may not experience some light spotting or bleeding, but it should not soak up an entire pantyliner or pad, if so you may be having a miscarriage.
Depending on a women’s Physique, Some women will begin to see a growing bulge, sometimes as early as 14 or 15 weeks.
Twin Pregnancy: Second Trimester
Some women’s morning sickness subsides during the second trimester, but this isn’t true for everyone
Around 16 and 17 Weeks is when most women experience their babies’ first kicks or movements. Don’t worry if you don’t! Some women experience fetal movement a few weeks earlier or later. You should definitely have felt some fetal movements by week 20.
As the fetuses continue to grow you will feel increased urges to urinate.
You should have had an ultrasound or 2 by Week 20. Your doctor or physician should be able to tell the definite sex of your twins by this age, although some physicians are able to discern the sexes slightly earlier.
Twin Pregnancy is treated as a high risk pregnancy so you will be seeing your physician as frequent as every two weeks.
Twin Pregnancy: Third Trimester: 28-40 Weeks
Those who may have experienced a break from nausea and morning sickness in the second trimester may be unpleasantly surprised to find that their nausea and morning sickness may have returned.
It is also common for you to experience a white or clear odorless discharge during pregnancy.
Back and joint pain is common during this stage of the pregnancy as your little ones are growing outward.
You may feel especially fatigued and increasingly uncomfortable at night due to fetal kicks, pain and insomnia
Towards the end stage of the pregnancy you will begin to experience braxton hicks contractions (different from real contractions that are consistent and a few minutes apart.
In the last few weeks you may lose your mucus plug
If your water breaks or feel you are having real contractions, head to the emergency room, and call your physician or midwife. Your own pregnancy experience will vary, remember to keep track of all your appointments, stay hydrated, maintain a healthy diet, and get plenty of rest when you need it.
It’s Important to keep up with A self Care Routine, and now more than ever! This post showcases 16 different ways to practice Self Love, and Care during quarantine!
Only 3 months into 2020 and what a year it has been. January left us shocked with the fatal helicopter crash that claimed Kobe Bryant’s death and the lives of 8 other’s.
Now an unexpected virus has crept into our lives country by country, county by county, and city by city.
I just want to say, what a way to start the decade.
“Corona” is the virus that will make America or break it.
With number of confirmed cases steadily on the rise in almost every state, more and more schools, and businesses are closing their doors. The stock Market has crashed and no one knows when this invisible virus “plans to finish it’s business.”
There are only 2 possible outcomes; America will either bounce back to be better than it was before, or it will fall to a place which we would have to take time recovering from.
It’s not just up to our leaders and the governors of our country and state, but it’s up to us as well. WE ALL PLAY A PART in the spread/containment of this virus, but only time will tell.
Who knows how long the pandemic will last, but we do need to make the best of it. Spend this quarantine time with your family, and just appreciating life, Pray, talk to God, and ask him for blessings, and guidance over you life.
Gain clarity for yourself. This quarantine is a break that most of us needed.
I’ll be the first in life to say this is true for me. This time has given me a new focus, and outlook on life. I was in absolute misery at my job, and not living up to my full potential.
After this pandemic is over they may not see me back!
I’m not saying quit your job, but use this time to focus on you. Ask yourself; if what you are doing is leading to the life and the things you want. If not; what can you do to start changing this.
